Latest Update:

September 21, 2018 11:26 AM

The City of Faribault will be assisting property owners with pick up of storm related brush, trees and limbs due to the storm event on September 20, 2018. The City will conduct a City wide storm tree/brush pickup starting on Monday, October 1st. The following rules apply in order to have tree and brush pick up:
• Trees/Brush must be piled on the curb – crews will not enter on private property to pick up the brush.
• No material other than trees/brush shall be placed in the brush pile.
• Animal waste, garbage, demolition material, lumber, etc. will not be accepted. Any inclusion of any excluded materials will result in the whole pile being left. Crews will not sort piles.
• No tree branches or trunks or material over 4’ in length will be taken.
• All limbs and branches should be placed parallel to the curb.
The City of Faribault will not be responsible for turf damage caused by this service.
Because this is a costly service in terms of manpower and equipment, it will be a one-time only service. As a result, if the material is not on the curb by 7:00 am, on Monday, October 1st, we cannot guarantee that it will be picked up. The crews may be out before October 1st removing some of the larger trees but starting October 1st, the City will make only one pass on each street to pick up the material. There are many other jobs that the crews will be involved with and as a result, we will not be able to return to make special pick-ups.
The compost site located at the City of Faribault Water Treatment Facility on 14th St. NE will also be open for expanded hours including being open 7am to 7pm on Friday thru Sunday, September 21-23. Visit the City of Faribault website for updates on further expanded hours.
This is an opportunity for residents to clean up their trees and bushes and have the material hauled away for them. Please be considerate of the above requirements and thanks for your help.
