    January 22, 2018, 4:30 PM - 5:15 PM @ Youth Activity Area

    Books & Brownies is an informal book club for youth in grades 2-5. We meet monthly during the school year to talk about books we've read from an assigned topic or genre. The January meeting will take place on Monday, January 22 from 4:30-5:15 p.m. in the library's Youth Activity Area. To prepare, read one of the 2017-2018 Maud Hart Lovelace nominees. Come ready to discuss your selection while we enjoy delicious brownies.

    Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays & Thursdays at 10:30am (30 minutes) In the Children’s Program Area Ages 0-6 with adult caregiver. Siblings and guests welcome. Join us at the library for stories, songs, and fun! Storytime encourages language development and fosters a love of books and a lifetime of learning. Parents and caregivers will also learn about early literacy and get tips on how to help their child become ready to read. No registration necessary.

  5. LittleBigRead

    January 25, 2018, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Children's Area

    LittleBigRead is an informal “reading buddies” program for school age youth that pairs younger kids with older kids for one-on-one reading time. Younger kids can read to or be read to by older kids or they can take turns sharing a book together. This program is a fun and no-pressure way for children to build a passion for reading for the fun of it. It is not a tutoring program. Books are chosen by the readers from the library’s collection or favorites can also be brought from home. No registration necessary – just drop in and read!

  6. Harry Potter Book Club: Book Three

    January 30, 2018, 4:30 PM - 5:15 PM @ Youth Activity Area

    For this meeting, read -- or have someone read to you -- or listen to the audiobook of --- Book Three: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. *It is okay if you don't finish the book in time, please still come to the meeting anyway! The Harry Potter Book Club is for youth ages 10 and up. We meet monthly during the school year in the library’s Youth Activity Area to discuss and enjoy activities related to each of the Harry Potter books. Read the assigned book ahead of the meeting and come prepared to discuss it. Come to one or all of the meetings. We will celebrate over the summer by viewing the HP movies.

    January 29, 2018, 4:30 PM - 5:15 PM @ Youth Activity Area

    Pizza & Pages is an informal book club for students enrolled in grades 6-12. We meet monthly during the school year in the library’s Youth Activity Area to discuss books we’ve chosen to read from an assigned genre or topic. No registration necessary. The January meeting will be on Monday, January 29 from 4:30–5:15 in the Youth Activity Area at the library. To prepare, read one of the 2017-2018 Maud Hart Lovelace nominees. We will discuss our selections while enjoying tasty pizza. Future meeting dates and genres/topics will be announced in advance on the library’s website and Facebook page.
