  2. RUN BOY RUN CONCERT

    March 2, 2017, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Great Hall

    Buckham Memorial Library will be hosting the musical group RUN BOY RUN. The group is comprised of brother and sister Matt and Grace Rolland and sisters Bekah Sandoval Rolland and Jen Sandoval and perform a mix of American Bluegrass and Folk music through a combination of fiddle, guitar, mandolin and vocals. Brought to you by Riverside Concerts and the Mayo Clinic. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund. This presentation is supported by the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from Minnesota State Arts Board, the Crane Group and General Mills Foundation. This project is made possible in part through funding from the Greater Rochester Arts and Cultural Trust.

Library - Children Event Calendar

    Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays & Thursdays at 10:30am (30 minutes) In the Children’s Program Area Ages 0-6 with adult caregiver. Siblings and guests welcome. Join us at the library for stories, songs, and fun! Storytime encourages language development and fosters a love of books and a lifetime of learning. Parents and caregivers will also learn about early literacy and get tips on how to help their child become ready to read. No registration necessary.

  2. LittleBigRead

    March 2, 2017, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

    LittleBigRead is an informal program for school age youth that pairs older kids with younger kids for one-on-one reading time. Younger kids can read to or be read to by older kids or they can take turns reading a book together. This program is meant to be a fun and no-pressure way to build a passion for reading for the fun of it. It is not a tutoring program or homework help. Books will be chosen by the readers from the library's collection or favorites can be brought from home. LittleBigRead meets weekly on Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted, on the youth side of the library. No registration is necessary.
