Water Meter Handout No. 1 – January 10, 2012

The City of Faribault has become aware of issues related to the accuracy of a number of the City’s water meters installed as part of the 2009-2010 Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) project. While the City is in the process of identifying the extent of the problem and formulating a solution to verify and maintain the integrity of the City’s water metering system, City staff does not yet have sufficient information at this time to specifically identify the cause of the problem or to recommend a definitive solution to the City Council. The City is attempting to move as quickly as possible to develop a solution with regard to this matter.
Any future developments relating to the City’s water metering system will be addressed in handouts available at City Hall and posted on the City’s web site.
