COMMUNITY PUBLIC MEETING
November 16, 2016
6:30-8:00 p.m.
The Village Theatre
20 2nd St NW

Following the development of Faribault's 2040 Vision, the City is exploring and evaluating different ways to implement the various aspects of the Vision. One potential project that is being pursued is the development of work-live spaces for artists in the Faribault community.  To help us explore this idea, we are bringing ArtSpace to Faribault for a two-day Preliminary Feasibility Study visit (PFS) on November 16-17, 2016.  During this visit they will tour the community, visit potential sites for a live-work housing development, and gather information from a large cross-section of our population to determine the viability and desire of such a project in Faribault.

ArtSpace is a non-profit organization that has been creating affordable, appropriate places where artists can live and work since 1979.  They have a $600 million portfolio of more than 40 projects around the country. Since they are based out of Minneapolis, a large number of their projects are in Minnesota, including Fergus Falls, Brainerd and Hastings.

As part of this process, the Faribault community is invited to join us for our public input meeting, which will be held November 16 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Village Theatre.

We are excited to see where this idea goes, and we thank you in advance for participating in the information gathering process.  For more information on ArtSpace, visit their website at www.artspace.org.
