[ARCHIVED] Andy Bohlen retires from Police Department

Chief Andy Bohlen chats with those in attendance at his retirement party.

In late February, the City of Faribault said farewell to Police Chief Andy Bohlen.

Having served FPD since 2012, he retired after 32 years in law enforcement. Chief Bohlen leaves the department with a solid reputation amongst law enforcement agencies throughout the state, and his relationships in the community has garnered tremendous support for our officers. He has made great strides in staffing and equipment, implementing body worn cameras, our Crime Free Multi-housing program, and the agency’s first K9s. He was instrumental in the reorganization of the Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force, which is also highly regarded statewide. He has helped our staff develop as officers and leaders, and we truly value his guidance and friendship.

We wish him and his family all the best in a well-deserved retirement.
