The City’s Rental Licensing Ordinance has been updated and housing providers are no longer required to conduct criminal background checks on rental applicants, but it is still recommended by the City.

In addition, the occupancy limitations have been clarified. The revisions to the Ordinance confirm, regardless of the size of a rental unit, the occupancy limitation is no less than two times the number of legal bedrooms plus one, and occupants under the age of two years are not counted.
