Mayor Kevin Voracek was recently elected to serve in the role of President of the Minnesota Mayor’s Association Executive Committee.

The MMA is a statewide association that is dedicated to connecting mayors across Minnesota, promoting dialogue between mayors around their shared experiences and to provide learning opportunities on topics related to leading cities as an elected official.

The MMA Executive Committee is responsible for leading the MMA, scheduling educational programing and seminars, and planning the MMA’s Annual Conference. The conference is scheduled to be held in the President’s city, so for 2023, it is being planned for Faribault.

Voracek has been on the MMA Committee since being elected in 2019, and will serve a one-year term as the President of the MMA Executive Committee. Voracek was originally elected to the Faribault City Council in 2008 and became Mayor in 2017.
